A core business of Meissner is the planning and design - or in short: the engineering - of plants for the chemical industry and the industry of explosives. Meissner's offered services range here from supply of the Basic Engineering up to the delivery of the complete Detail Engineering for a plant. The well-proven know-how and the experience derived from far more than 450 supplied and successfully commissioned plants constitutes the basis for the precise planning and optimum design of each Meissner plant. For each individual case, and in close co-ordination with the customer, tailor-made plants are designed and documented by up-to-date working techniques. Human Resources It is standard Meissner procedure that fixed teams of closely co-operating project managers and project engineers are in charge for individual plant projects during the entire time of execution. This has the significant advantage for the customer that, starting from the planning phase and up to the commissioning phase, always the same partners may be contacted. Moreover, this procedure guarantees that valuable experiences from previous commissionings will directly find their way into the planning of new projects. The further planning by means of technical resources then builds on this excellent basis.Technical Resources The preparation of expressive, consistent, and efficiently usable planning documents starting from the basic design is executed at Meissner's by use of efficient computer systems with state-of-the-art software, e.g. CAD programs for the three-dimensional planning of plants. Computer-aided design not only constitutes the basis for the quick, thorough and effective planning of a plant, but also for the reliable and rapid handling during the subsequent procurement phase. The advantage of the application of modern planning techniques during the engineering phase also pays off for the customer, as it helps to optimize the design of apparatuses and the procurement of bulk materials, thus creating a significant reduction in costs which can be shared by all involved project partners. |
