In May 2006, the third fully automatic line in a MEISSNER plant for the production of Nitrocellulose (NC) was commissioned for Nitro Química in São Paulo/Brazil. 

The new line includes the complete NC production sequence with the following fully continuous individual steps:

- disintegration of cellulose supplied in rolls

- weighing of cellulose

- subsequent automatic mixing with nitrating acid

- nitration

- adhered acid recovery by means of pusher centrifuge

- transport to stabilisation
