While the previous contract with BASF for a MEISSNER Dinitrotoluene Plant at Yeosu plant site in Korea still was under execution, MEISSNER already concluded the next contract with BASF for a DNT Plant, which again is based on MEISSNER’s leading technology.
The new plant of extraordinary capacity will be built at Caojing plant site near Shanghai in the P. R. China for the German-Chinese joint venture company Shanghai BASF Polyurethane Company (SBPC).The plant also covers state-of-the-art units for acid processing and NOx absorption, which will be delivered by MEISSNER’s subcontractor QVF Engineering, Mainz / Germany. MEISSNER and QVF had to respond to an extremely tight time schedule for the execution of the project. With the contract having been signed only mid of January 2003, and the start of the detail engineering having been scheduled already for mid 2003, only a close and extensive co-operation with the customer could ensure a smooth project execution and an on-time delivery. |
