High-Pressure Water Jet Technology |

Equipment for Washout with High-Pressure Water Jet Removal of explosives, explosives mixtures and inert materials from shells and bombs (e.g. KM82), as well as cast and pressed rocket propellant are preferably removed by means of a high-pressure water jet from shell bodies, bombs or rocket motors, respectively. The water required for the washout is conveyed in a closed loop circuit. No waste water contaminated with explosives will occur.
The washed-out explosives are either submitted to a respective recovery treatment (e.g. TNT, refer to Equipment for Recovery of Explosives) for further re-use, e.g. in commercial explosives, or they are transferred to an incineration plant (refer to Incineration Plants) and disposed of in an environmentally compatible way.
Meissner delivers tailor-made equipment especially for the washout of explosives and rocket propellant by means of a high pressure water jet for shell calibres up to 203 mm and explosive charges as, for instance, bombs and rocket motors.
Equipment for Cutting with High-Pressure Water Jet Besides of the application of the traditional sawing technology (refer to General Disassembly Equipment), shells, bombs and rocket motors are preferably cut and disassembled by means of a high-pressure water jet with and without addition of abrasives.
Meissner delivers equipment designed according to this technology for cutting of shells and rocket motors of any possible size.
